With Cable-Sherpa to the Nordic EV Summit - 1600 km road trip in an electric car
Freistadt, Oslo April 2025 – a road trip with a mission:
The community has decided: Cable-Sherpa is making its way to the Nordic EV Summit in Oslo – all-electric! From April 6 to 8, 2025, the journey will take the team over 1600 kilometers through Austria, the Czech Republic, Germany and Sweden to Norway, where the Nordic EV Summit will take place in the capital on April 9 and 10. A highly symbolic journey to a country where more than 95% of new cars are already fully electric.
“This road trip is the next logical step for us. Our products are already being used in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, France and Italy. Now we want to become visible in Norway, the leading country in electromobility,” explains Helmut Kastler, co-founder of Cable-Sherpa.
Systematic success:
The idea for Cable-Sherpa arose from a personal experience: Helmut Kastler (42), mechatronics engineer and e-car owner, had had enough of the cable chaos in his garage. Together with his friends and business partners Erwin Kunst (44) and Andreas Affenzeller (42), he developed an innovative solution in just a few months: a flexible, extendable and rotatable support arm for wall mounting that serves as an ideal cable holder.
Thanks to a well thought-out corporate strategy that includes marketing, public relations, website, webshop, logistics and production, the company has Cable-Sherpa quickly established itself successfully on the market. “Our clear goal is to stand out from the competition with a unique solution. While the market for wallboxes is highly competitive, there are only a few practicable solutions for cable management – this is where we come in with Cable-Sherpa this,” Kastler continues.
The smart way to keep order at the e-charging station:
Cable-Sherpa is an innovative cable management system for electric car charging cables that is simply mounted on the wall – in the garage, in the carport or at public charging points. Made of electrolytically galvanized steel, available in 2 versions and different colors, the system is compatible with all standard wall boxes and e-charging cables. Thanks to its flexibility, the rotatable and, depending on the version, extendable support arm automatically returns to its resting position, ensuring a tidy charging area.
“Our vision was always to make the charging process as simple as possible. The cable can be used in a single movement and then neatly stowed away – without getting your hands or clothes dirty,” explains Andreas Affenzeller, CTO and co-founder. The regionally manufactured product, which has 2 patents pending, holds charging cables up to 7 meters long and offers an operating radius of 5.5 meters. From 199 € is Cable-Sherpa available in the online store.
Positive prospects for the e-future
The increase in e-car sales in Europe and around the world since January confirms the path taken and gives the team a positive outlook for the future “We are thinking long-term and are focusing on the entire European market. Over 32 million charging points will be needed in the EU by 2030 – that offers enormous potential,” says Erwin Kunst. With the road trip to Oslo Cable-Sherpa not only to present its product, but also to show that long journeys in an electric car are no obstacle. The mission: to make electric mobility more convenient and suitable for everyday use.
Cable-Sherpa was founded in 2024 by technicians and friends Helmut Kastler, Andreas Affenzeller and Erwin Kunst. The new, smart cable management system Cable-Sherpa and matching accessories can now be ordered on the company’s website in the online store (€399).
